Building a Cohesive Visual System for an International Fintech Conference

從概念到體驗：為國際金融科技會議打造完整視覺識別系統

  • Role: Lead Visual Strategist (Visual Identity, Web Layout & System Implementation)

    擔當角色：首席視覺策略師（主導視覺識別開發、網頁架構設計及系統化執行）

01 // Overview 

          項目概述


This project involved designing a complete visual system for a high-level academic conference, covering the primary key visual (KV), website layout, and all digital marketing assets.The goal was to transform complex fintech concepts into a professional, engaging, and cohesive brand experience — while improving clarity across all touchpoints.


本項目為高階學術會議打造了一套完整的視覺系統，涵蓋核心視覺 (KV)、網站佈局及所有數碼行銷物料。目標是將複雜的金融科技概念轉化為專業、具吸引力且連貫的品牌體驗，同時提升整體資訊傳達的清晰度。



02 // The Problem: Information Overload & Fragmentation

          面臨挑戰：資訊過載與視覺破碎



Academic and financial conferences often suffer from extreme information density and fragmented branding.The challenge was to communicate a large volume of technical content — including speakers, agendas, and research — while maintaining a professional presence that does not feel overwhelming or dry.


學術與金融會議經常面臨資訊極度密集與品牌形象破碎的問題。核心挑戰在於如何傳遞龐大的技術內容（講者、議程、研究），同時維持專業形象，且不讓受眾感到資訊過載或枯燥。


03 // The Insight: Balance Between Credibility & Impact

          洞察：權威感與視覺衝擊的平衡



The audience consists of global scholars and industry professionals.

To resonate with them, the design needed to balance academic credibility with modern fintech impact.I identified the need for a system that is both scan-friendly for busy professionals and deep enough to reflect the prestige of CUHK.


受眾由全球學者與業界專家組成。為了產生共鳴，設計必須在「學術權威性」與「現代金融科技衝擊力」之間取得平衡。因此，我建立了一套既能讓繁忙專業人士快速掃視，又能體現中大（CUHK）學術地位與深度的視覺系統。



04 // The Solution: A Flexible Visual System

          解決方案：具靈活性的視覺系統



A. Concept-Driven Key Visual / 以概念主導的核心視覺


I defined a key visual system centred on “Flow & Connection”, symbolising the dynamic and interconnected nature of financial engineering.Rather than a static graphic, this was designed as a flexible visual motif that could scale seamlessly across different formats — from large-scale stage backdrops to mobile banners.


我開發了以「流動與連結」為核心的視覺概念，象徵金融工程的動態與互聯特性。這不只是一張靜態圖像，而是一個可靈活延伸的視覺語言，能夠從大型舞台背景延伸至手機 Banner 等不同媒介。



B. Information Architecture & Web Layout / 資訊架構與網站佈局


For the conference website, I deliberately prioritised information hierarchy to ensure users could navigate complex content effortlessly. By restructuring the agenda and speaker sections, users were able to locate key registration details within seconds, significantly improving the pre-event user experience.


在網站設計上，我刻意以「資訊層級」為優先，讓用戶能輕鬆理解複雜內容。透過重新規劃議程與講者結構，用戶可以在短時間內找到關鍵報名資訊，大幅提升活動前的使用體驗。




C. System Thinking & Consistency / 系統思維與一致性


Beyond individual design outputs, I established a scalable visual system across all touchpoints. From digital EDMs to physical signage, every touchpoint followed a consistent visual logic — ensuring a cohesive and professional brand identity across all platforms.


我建立的不只是單一設計，而是一套可擴展的視覺系統。從數碼 EDM 到實體指示牌，每一個接觸點都遵循一致的視覺邏輯，確保品牌在所有平台上保持專業與連貫。

05 // The Result: From Complexity to Clarity

          最終成效：將複雜化為清晰



The implementation resulted in a high-performing visual identity that enhanced the conference’s international perception. The restructured website improved clarity in communicating complex schedules, reduced user inquiries, and created a more seamless registration experience — ultimately strengthening the conference’s professional credibility. This allowed users to navigate complex content with confidence, reinforcing both usability and institutional credibility.


整體執行成功建立了一套高效的視覺識別系統，提升了會議的國際專業形象。重新規劃的網站有效提升資訊清晰度，減少用戶查詢，同時帶來更流暢的報名體驗，進一步強化品牌信任與專業度。
