01 // THE FOUNDATION
My journey didn’t start with a blank canvas; it started with a structure.
Coming from a background in Fashion Design and Product Development, I learned early on that aesthetics must coexist with structural integrity. When I later transitioned into Visual Communication Design, I realized that while the medium had changed, the core mission remained: Solving problems through visual logic.

The Beginning: Exploring the synergy between structure and form.
02 // THE PIVOT
Over the past 13 years, my career has been anything but linear.
Working in a high-pressure private kitchen, I mastered the art of multitasking and workflow prioritization. Serving as a sales professional taught me the intuition needed to bridge the gap between a client’s vision and their actual needs. These "in-between" experiences shaped my approach to design:
“It’s not just about drawing; it’s about managing chaos and creating order.”

Persistence: Defining visual order between digital screens and tactile prints.
03 // THE REFLECTION
After moving to the UK, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a local design agency. While the collaboration was brief, it was a pivotal moment of reflection. It taught me the importance of being fully prepared for the local market and solidified my direction:
I am not just a "decorator" — I am a technical partner who understands Production, In-house constraints, and Freelance agility.
04 // THE VISION
Today, I operate as freelance.inbetween. I specialize in bridging the gap between creative concepts and technical execution. Whether it’s complex layouts or production-ready graphics, I deliver results that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Execution: Bridging the gap between creative vision and precise delivery.
Design is a solution. If you are looking for more than just decoration—if you need a partner who can bridge the gap between vision and reality with precision—let’s talk. cindylai0110@gmail.com · cindylai.studio
